Privacy policy

Short version: we collect as little as we can, and your saved collection never leaves your browser.

What we store on your device

Color Fiind uses your browser's local storage for three things:

• Your collection — palettes you have liked are saved in your own browser. They are not uploaded, not tied to an account, and not visible to us or anyone else.
• Your theme preference — light or dark.
• A random visitor ID — a random string generated in your browser, used only so a like is counted once and can be undone. It contains nothing about you and is not linked to any other data.

Clearing your browser data removes all of it.

What we collect on the server

Like counts are global: when you like a palette we record that an anonymous visitor ID liked that palette. No account, no email, no IP address is stored alongside it.

Our web server keeps standard access logs — IP address, requested URL, timestamp, user agent — for security and capacity planning. These are rotated on a short schedule.

Analytics and advertising

We use Google Tag Manager to load analytics so we can see which pages are useful. If advertising is enabled, ad providers may set their own cookies and may use your visit to this and other sites to choose ads. Where required by law, ad personalisation is subject to your consent.

We do not sell personal data. We do not build user profiles.

Your rights

Because we hold no account and no personal profile, there is generally nothing to export or delete. If you are in the EU or UK and believe we hold personal data about you, write to hello@colorfiind.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

Color Fiind is a design reference tool and is not directed at children.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the update date above.
